| Overview
Aspiring Surgeons Program currently supports 2 program initiatives
that can broadly be categorized "Human Anatomy Teaching Assistance”
and "Clinical Exposure."
Our Human Anatomy Teaching Assistance Program is affiliated with
the school of medicine's MEDI 505 Human Anatomy, a required course
in the first year's medical curriculum. This program aims to facilitate
dissection laboratory assistance to first year medical students
rendered by experienced second, third, and fourth year medical students.
Furthermore, ASP maintains a proprietary University Learning Management
Web Site that offers video dissections, dissection outlines, student
study-guides, helpful links, and other resources to anatomy students.

ASP's “Clinical Exposure Program” targets learning
opportunities within the surgical profession. Through a schedule
of diverse events, ASP aims to provide a comprehensive understanding
of the surgical profession in a multitude of environments and encourages
a continued curiosity for all the profession has to offer. Coordinated
with the Human Anatomy Teaching Assistance Program, Clinical Exposure
activities highlight surgical procedures and skills applicable to
ongoing dissection studies in the anatomy course. Surgical videos,
streaming operating rooms, instrument guides, and a physician database
of surgical opportunities are just a few features of ASP's Clinical
Exposure Program. Learn more about out Clinical
